An EULA (End-User License Agreement) is the legal contract that dictates how you can use the font software. Whenever you purchase a font, you are actually purchasing a license to use it, rather than owning the software itself.
Our standard licenses (Desktop, Web, App) are perpetual. This means you pay a one-time fee for lifetime use, as long as you stay within the parameters of your purchased tier (e.g., number of computers or monthly pageviews). There are no recurring annual subscription fees.
The end-user of the font must hold the license. If you are creating a logo for a client and handing over outlined vector files (SVG/EPS), you need the Logo License, and your client does not need anything. However, if you are building a website for them, the client’s company should hold the Webfont license in their name.
Yes, but only to vendors and temporarily. You may securely share the files with a printer or developer exclusively to execute your specific project (they must delete them once complete). However, you cannot transfer your license to a client. If the client wants to install the font on their own computers, they must buy their own Desktop license.
It depends on the format. Static images (JPG, PNG) posted to Instagram or LinkedIn are fully covered by a standard Desktop license. However, if you are creating monetized video content for YouTube, or high-production moving image campaigns, you will need the Broadcast & Film license.
A Webfont license allows you to self-host the font files (.woff2) on your own server and use the @font-face CSS rule to render text on your website. The cost is scaled based on the total estimated monthly pageviews across all domains where the font is used.
For digital software like iOS/Android apps or video games, you need an App/Game/ePub License. However, if you are embedding the font into physical hardware displays, firmware, or vehicle dashboards, this requires a custom OEM / Hardware License. Please contact us for a tailored quote.
You may not modify the software code, rename, reverse-engineer, or decompile the font files. You are also strictly prohibited from reselling, sublicensing, or uploading the font files to public repositories. You are, however, completely free to convert the text to vector outlines and modify the shapes to create custom artwork.
Your PDF invoice and the original order confirmation act as your legal proof of licensing. Using a font without a valid license, or drastically exceeding your licensed limits, is a copyright violation. This can result in cease-and-desist notices, forced takedowns of digital content, and financial penalties.
Yes. If a typeface receives an official update (such as expanded language support or kerning improvements), existing license holders will always receive access to the updated files entirely for free.
